The Story
Scott grew up in Old Forge, New York... an Adirondack tourist town.
Even while in high school, he began learning the carpentry trade.
As Scott became more skilled as a craftsman,
he began to incorporate a love of nature into his work.
Living in New York was difficult...
high sales tax and insurance rates made it
extremely difficult for this small business to survive.
Every year in the fall Scott would travel to New Hampshire
to visit a friend who had moved from Old Forge.
Each time he came to visit, it became harder and harder to leave.
He fell in love with New Hampshire,
and began to dream about a day when he would live here.
Scott finally decided to put his house up for sale
and within a year was living in New Hampshire.
It took a while to find his own home,
but he's beginning to settle into a nice little spot in Wilmot.
While he works on his own property,
remodeling a summer camp into a year-round residence,
he is growing his business in New Hampshire.
He believes a customer should get a product that is what they want,
made in a timely manner, and one that will last for generations.
As a fine craftsman, Scott believes in quality,
using whatever tool will produce the best product.
Sometimes he uses tools that are very old, self-made or modified.
But he won't hesitate to use a modern tool if need be.
Scott hopes that he can bring a unique style of carpentry to New Hampshire,
using his love of nature, his Adirondack background, and his quality craftsmanship.
